Does eye tracking affect your body? |
A
For some it can cause a slight headache, dry eyes and tiredness. These symptoms are most often due to the eye muscles being strained. Take time to build up eye control usage slowly. Take breaks and try using a larger grid size. It is just like starting to train for a marathon…you can’t do it the next day! You need practice. |

Are the Tobii eye trackers harmful? |
A
Most eye trackers have been designed to diffuse light as much as possible. The light comes from multiple light sources with large surface areas to reduce the light intensity.
Tobii Eye Trackers have been tested to the highest possible standard and have been created to leave safety margins so that they are well within the safety standard range. Tobii Eye Trackers have been tested and comply with IEC/EN 60825-1/A1-A2 class 1 LED products intended to be used for long time exposure. (COGAIN 2007, Intertek ETL Semko 2005)
Tobii Eye Trackers are MUCH BETTER than the current guidelines for long term exposure to light sources. It is a SAFE product. |
